Here's the plan
 Because of a proposed amendment to the Dakota County Comprehensive Plan, a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Administration Center in Hastings. Public comments may be submitted through Friday, Feb. 24.
Dakota County is proposing to add a regional trail search corridor in the area of Chub Lake to its Park System Plan, which is a section of the Dakota County Comprehensive Plan. The proposed short segment of regional trail would connect Dakota County residents to the Scott County regional trail system and the following Scott County regional parks:
- Cedar Lake Farm
- Doyle-Kennefick
- Blakely Bluffs
Dakota County is required to include this trail connection in its Park System Plan, to be consistent with the Metropolitan Council’s park plans, as required by State Statute.
