Full circle
Full circle. In April 2010, Mike Link and Kate Crowley, a local retired couple, set off from Duluth on a journey of a lifetime—a 145-day, 1,550-mile hike around Lake Superior. The nature-loving couple will share their experience, including stories of people they met and the wilderness they explored in an effort to preserve freshwater on Saturday, Dec. 10, 11a.m.–noon, Galaxie Library.

Link has been the executive director of the Audubon Center of the North Woods near Sandstone, Minn. since its founding in 1971. Crowley, a veteran naturalist, has lived a life with education and animals, first at Minnesota Zoo, then at the Audubon Center.

This presentation is part of Dakota County Library’s annual Minnesota Mosaic® cultural arts series, which is sponsored by The Dakota County Library Foundation. This project was also funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
