Public Notice: HOME Investment Partnership
The purpose of this notice is to announce the start of a 30-day public comment period on a proposed amendment to the Dakota County HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program Budget for Program Year 2007.

Proposed amendment to the 2007 HOME Program Year:

The Dakota County CDA is proposing to reallocate approximately $123,000.00 of available 2007 HOME funds to Habitat for Humanity CHDO for the purpose of acquiring the vacant lot located at 836 Deppe Street in West St. Paul and constructing a new single family home. The property was originally acquired by the Dakota County CDA as a vacant, foreclosed property and demolished by the Dakota County CDA. Habitat will acquire the property from the CDA and oversee the construction of the new home. After construction, the home will be sold to a pre-approved income eligible buyer. The 2007 HOME funds are part of a required 15% set aside for organizations that qualify as Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). Habitat for Humanity CHDO was designated as a CHDO for Dakota County in 2009.

Please submit written and/or oral comments to the CDA to the attention of Stephanie Newburg, HOME Program Coordinator, Dakota County CDA, 1228 Town Centre Drive, Eagan, MN 55123. Telephone: 651-675-4466, Fax: 651-675-4444, MN Relay Service: 1-800-627-3529.

This information is also available on the CDA’s web site at www.dakotacda.org and on the Dakota County website at www.dakotacounty.us. The Dakota County CDA will accept comments now through Jan. 17, 2011. Upon request, this amendment will be available in an alternative format by contacting the CDA.
