Public Notice: HOME Investment Partnership Program Budget
This notice is to announce the start of a 30-day public comment period on proposed amendments to the Dakota County HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program Budget for Program Years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Proposed amendments:
The HOME Program requires that 15 percent of a jurisdiction’s HOME allocation be used for eligible HOME activities by nonprofit organizations that qualify as Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). In 2009, the Dakota County CDA Board of Commissioners recertified Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Community Housing Development Organization, Inc. as a CHDO for Dakota County. The Dakota County CDA is now proposing to allocate up to $255,000.00 of available 2007, 2008 and 2009 HOME CHDO funds to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Community Housing Development Organization, Inc. for the purpose of reconstructing single family homes located at 888 Stryker Ave and 268 Annapolis St East in West St Paul, Minnesota. When the single family homes are complete and ready for occupancy, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Community Housing Development Organization, Inc. will sell the homes to buyers meeting the eligibility criteria.
Please submit written and/or oral comments to the CDA to the attention of Stephanie Newburg, HOME Program Coordinator, Dakota County CDA, 1228 Town Centre Drive, Eagan, MN 55123. Telephone: 651-675-4466, Fax: 651-675-4444, MN Relay Service: 1-800-627-3529.
This information is also available on the CDA’s web site at www.dakotacda.org. The Dakota County CDA will accept comments now through Jan. 16, 2012. Upon request, this amendment will be available in an alternative format by contacting the CDA. Approval of the amendment, subject to consideration of public comments, will be on the agenda of the Dakota County Board of Commissioners meeting to be held at the Dakota County Government Center, third floor, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033 on Jan. 31, 2012 at 9 a.m.
