Dakota County, in partnership with the cities of Apple Valley and Lakeville, conducted a study to develop a corridor plan for County Highway 31, from County Highway 42 to the Lakeville/Farmington city limits. The study was done to address the future safety and operational issues on County Highway 31 as traffic increases and development occurs. The study includes recommendations for the location and design of all intersections along the corridor and also conceptual designs for a potential future interchange at the intersection of County Highway 31 and County Highway 46.
