Filing Requirements:
- Citizen of the United States
- Eligible voter
- For a complete list by office, visit Minnesota Statutes
- Filing Fees
- Complete an Affidavit of Candidacy
- Complete and file Campaign Finance Reports
- Declaration of a Political Party for federal and state offices, and Minor Party with Nominating Petition. Political party declaration is not required for county, municipal, school district and judicial non-partisan offices.
