Apply for an Absentee Ballot at these locations:
Requirements for Registered Voters:
- Complete an Absentee Ballot Application:

- An application must be completed to receive a ballot.
- Mail or fax completed application to county, city or school district office.
- Absentee Ballots are available 46 days before an election.
- Voted absentee ballots must be received (not postmarked) by election day.
Requirements for Non-Registered Voters:
- Included with your absentee ballot materials will be a voter registration application allowing you to register and vote. The completed voter registration application must be returned with your voted ballot.
Requirements for Uniformed & Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA):
- Complete a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).
- Mail or fax completed FPCA to Dakota County Property Taxation and Records in Hastings.
- Military personnel, their families, and citizens living outside the United States (including Canada and Mexico) may have application requests submitted by the voter, voter's parents, spouse, sibling, or child over the age of 18 years.
