Educational Neglect Intervention
We all want our children to have the best education to become successful, productive adults. Regular attendance at school is the best way to insure that goal. Children who attend school daily, with minimal absences, are more successful academically and socially, and are less likely to engage in destructive behavior or get into trouble in the community. That is why school attendance is mandatory in the State of Minnesota.
Dakota County Social Services has a program to deal with issues of educational neglect with younger children. See the attached brochure for more information on Educational Neglect Intervention.
