Charges Filed in Murder of Cab Driver in Apple Valley
| [December 17, 2009] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Abdirahman Abdiwahab Abdikarim, age 18 of Apple Valley, has been charged* with one count each of Murder in the First Degree (while committing aggravated robbery); Murder in the Second Degree (with intent to kill) and Murder in the Second Degree (while committing a felony) in connection with the death of a man found in his cab on August 1, 2009. The victim was 41-year-old Michael Allan Palm II, a former Apple Valley resident. Abdikarim has been in custody at the Dakota County jail on several other unrelated charges since August 6, 2009. |
