Apple Valley Woman Charged with Arson and Assault
| [December 22, 2010] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Rhonda Lee Arkley, age 49 of Apple Valley, has been charged* with Arson in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, and Fleeing from a Peace Officer (all felonies) in connection with the December 2, 2010 violent attack on her husband during which she set their Apple Valley home on fire. Arkley then stabbed herself with a screwdriver in an apparent attempt to commit suicide. As officers approached, she fled from police in her vehicle. After a chase, she was apprehended in Eagan. |
