Woman Charged with Stealing from Nursing Home Residents
| [April 5, 2011] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Lisa Marie Blair, age 43 of Circle Pines, has been charged* with four counts each of Financial Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult and Theft by Swindle (all felonies) in connection with funds she is alleged to have taken from two residents of a nursing home in South St. Paul where she was employed. Financial losses to the two vulnerable victims from March of 2009 to November of 2010 totaled: $62,994.80. Most of these losses were in the form of checks written to Blair from the victims’ checking accounts. College tuition costs of $2,000 for Blair’s child was also charged to one of the victim’s credit cards in April of 2010. |
