Minneapolis Woman Sentenced for Embezzlement from Sun Country
| {September 12, 2008] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Kelly Jean Dillon-Love, age 45 of Minneapolis, was sentenced today by Judge Karen Asphaug to 104 months in prison (which is an upward departure from the 52 month presumptive sentence under the sentencing guidelines) in connection with an embezzlement of over $200,000 from Sun Country Airlines. Dillon-Love pleaded guilty on July 8th to five counts of Theft by Swindle (all felonies). Backstrom’s office had sought an upward departure because Dillon-Love’s conduct constituted a major economic offense. Dillon-Love was also ordered to pay $281,424 in restitution. |
