Grand Jury Returns Indictment in Death of 17-Month-Old Child
| [October 2, 2009] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Tylar James Hokanson, age 23 (currently residing in the Dakota County jail), has been indicted by the Dakota County Grand Jury in connection with the death of his 17-month-old stepson Nicholas Arthur Miller who died on June 23, 2009. Hokanson is now charged* with three counts of Murder in the First Degree While Committing Child Abuse (see below for a more detailed definition of the type of child abuse alleged to be involved) and three counts of Murder in the Second Degree While Committing a Felony (see below for a description of the three felonies alleged to be involved). |
