Former Dakota County Employee Charged with Theft
[February 23, 2011]  Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Aleathea McWilliams, age 52 of Minneapolis, has been charged* with Theft (over $5,000) and Possession of Stolen Property (value between $1,000-$5,000), both felonies, in connection with funds and bus passes stolen from Dakota County while she was employed as a case aid in Dakota County Social Services. McWilliams had been employed with the County since 2002 and resigned on May 25, 2010 after she was confronted concerning these crimes.
