Additional Charges Filed in Hastings Veteran's Home Attack
| [August 8, 2008] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that additional charges of attempted murder have been filed against Randall Sears, age 44, who had been residing in the Veteran’s Home in Hastings, in connection with the violent attack upon another Veteran’s Home resident. Sears is now charged* with one count of Attempted Murder in the First Degree (with premeditation and intent to kill); one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree (Intentional); and one count of Assault in the First Degree. |
