Man Convicted in Hastings Veteran's Home Attack
| [September 16, 2009] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Randall Sears, age 45, who had been residing at the Veteran’s Home in Hastings, has been convicted of one count each of Murder in the Second Degree (intentional); Murder in the Second Degree (unintentional); and Assault in the First Degree in connection with the brutal attack upon another resident at the Veteran’s Home. The jury deliberated for approximately three hours. |
