Driver Pleads Guilty in Burnsville Fatal Hit and Run
| [August 12, 2008] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Armando Velasquez, age 20 of Faribault, pleaded guilty late Monday, August 11th to one count of Criminal Vehicular Homicide (leaving the scene of a personal injury accident) in connection with a fatal hit and run on April 5, 2008 in Burnsville, resulting in the death of Carlos Eduardo Noriega, age 32 of Prior Lake. Judge Timothy McManus ordered that Armando Velasquez to be taken into custody while a pre-sentence investigation is being conducted. Sentencing will be October 10th at 9:00 a.m. in Hastings. |
