Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom Announced Developments in the Whitfield and Venne Cases:
MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO ATTEMPTED MURDER IN BURNSVILLE
Shaquen Perril Whitfield, age 20 of Prior Lake, pled guilty today to three felonies: Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Arson in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree in connection with the break-in of a Burnsville townhome on May 11, 2008.
DISTRICT COURT JUDGE PLEADS GUILTY TO TAX CRIMES
Anoka County District Court Judge Donald James Venne, age 61, pled guilty today to four counts of Failing to File a Tax Return (all gross misdemeanors).
