Registered nurse:
- Screener/Dispenser: assess clients for contraindications and review risk/benefit information and dispense meds when indicated
- Educator: provide follow-up instructions
- Injector: administer vaccines to pre-screened people
- Injector Aide: assist vaccinator in administering vaccine
- Express Dispenser: dispense medications to pre-screened clients
- First Aid Worker: respond to medical emergencies
Physician, physician's assistant, nurse practitioner:
- All RN duties indicated above (except that a Physician's Assistant is unable to be a Vaccinator)
- Medical Evaluator: provide in-depth assessment of contraindications
Dentist:
- Screener:assess clients for contraindications and review risk/benefit information
- Vaccinator: administer vaccination to pre-screened people
- Express Dispenser: dispense medications to pre-screened clients
Pharmacist:
- Requires a Pharmacist license
- Provide recommendations regarding drug interactions and alternative medications
Mental health professionals:
- Mental health background is necessary -- includes clergy, counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers
- Provide psychological, spiritual, and emotional support to clients and staff
Enroll in the Medical Reserve Corps of Dakota County (through Minnesota Responds)
