The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident that claimed the life of a 57 year-old woman from Apple Valley. The accident occurred at the intersection of Goodwin Avenue and County Road 46 (160th Street) in Nininger Township.
The victim has been identified as Deborah Ann Antko, who was driving a 1995 Mercury Mystique. The semi driver has been identified as Jonathon Peter Strey, age 56, of Spencer, Wisconsin. He was driving a 1985 Peterbilt tractor with a trailer at the time of the accident.
According to
Sheriff Dave Bellows, Antko was travelling southbound on Goodwin Avenue. The preliminary investigation indicates Antko stopped for the stop sign and then entered into the intersection when she was struck by the semi tractor-trailer. She died at the scene of the accident and the semi driver was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation by the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
