Dive Team
 
 Purpose:

  • Established in 1980 as a search and recovery team made up of two deputies, the team has evolved into a group of deputies who are responsible for searching for stolen property, weapons, automobiles, and drowning victims.
  • The Sheriff has law enforcement responsibility for all waterways within Dakota County.  This makes the Sheriff's Dive Team responsible for all rescue and recovery operations county-wide.

  • To locate persons and property in area lakes and rivers in a timely fashion and in the safest method possible.
