(Volunteer) Goals and Opportunities:
- Serve as a volunteer for the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Dakota County to increase available services
- Give the Sheriff’s Office the ability to patrol on horseback
Requirements:
- Provide and ride your own horse
- Be available for training each month
- Attend required monthly meetings
- Each horse/rider combination must successfully complete horsemanship/obstacle course test
Duties:
- Provide security at parades and events as requested
- Perform search and rescue operations
Other Information:
- Insurance is available to members only while they are representing the Sheriff’s Office
- A portion of the uniform will be provided
