- Worked for 13 years as a paramedic with a local ambulance service before joining the county.
- Responded to numerous disaster operations in the county, nine of which reached Presidential Status
- Served as President of the Board of the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers
- Naval and Vietnam Veteran
Education:
- Associates Degree in Business from Inver Hills Community College
- Certified as State Emergency Manager
- Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Metro University
