Sergeant James Gabriel
Experience: 
- Before joining the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office in 2000, Sergeant Gabriel worked as a correctional deputy at the Hennepin County Jail for three years.
- He has served in the Court Security, Transport, and Patrol Divisions, as well as a detective with the Dakota County Drug Task Force.
- Is an instructor in the use of force, tasers, and less lethal weapons.
- Former member of the Dakota County Multi-Agency Assistance Group (MAAG).
- He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
