Sergeant Booker Hodges
 
Experience:

  • Sergeant Hodges has been a member of the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office since 2006. 
  • He has served as a bailiff, school resource officer, patrol deputy, and detective with the Dakota County Drug Task Force, where he was assigned to investigate gangs and violent offenders.
  • He created the Dakota County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), which trains officers to deal with individuals suffering from mental illness. 
  • He is currently a member of the Dakota County Honor Guard Unit. 
  • He serves on the Dakota County Mutual Aid Assistance Group (MAAG). 
  • He currently is a supervisor in the Patrol Division.
Education: 
  • Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement from Minneapolis Community College 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Political Science from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida 
  • Master of Arts Degree in Public Safety Administration from Saint Mary’s University 
  • Currently pursing Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Hamline University
