Sergeant Tim Samuelson
E xperience:
- Sergeant Samuelson began his employment with the Sheriff’s Office as a correctional deputy in 1997.
- In 2000, he was promoted to general duty deputy, and has served as a school resource officer, court security deputy, and patrol deputy. He has served as a field training officer since 2006, and a drug recognition expert since 2003.
- He is currently assigned as a watch commander in the Patrol Division.
- Sergeant Samuelson is combat veteran of Iraq, and served 20 years in the Minnesota National Guard.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Bemidji State University
Awards:
- Medal of Merit recipient, Dakota County Sheriff’s Office
- Military Order of the Purple Heart National Law Enforcement Citation
- Two lifesaving medals
