Who we are
The Property Taxation & Records Department is responsible for all the functions required of an Auditor, Recorder and Treasurer.
 
These functions include:
  • Managing the County's investments and checking account,
  • Computing taxes for real and personal property,
  • Collection of all real and personal property tax payments, both current and delinquent, as well as collection of special assessments,
  • Managing forfeiture of property for delinquent taxes,
  • Administering elections and voter registration,
  • Issuing fish and game licenses, marriage licenses, passports, and issues/maintains records of births, deaths, and marriages.
  • Recording and processing of all legal documents related to real estate, federal and state tax liens, and certain personal property such as:
    • Deeds
    • Mortgages
    • Assignments
    • Satisfactions
    • Liens
    • Leases
    • Condominiums
    • Plats

All records are open to the public during normal business hours.
