Oversize Vehicle Permit

 
This permit allows an over legal size and/or weight vehicle a one-time pass on a Dakota County highway. An Oversize Vehicle Permit is required for any vehicle that does not meet the state legal weight standards.

Except during Spring Load Restrictions, Dakota County highways are restricted to 9 ton per axle, except for County Road 81 which is restricted to 7 ton per axle from County State Aid Highway 66 to State Highway 50 north of Hampton,MN and a marked bridge restriction on County State Aid Highway 85, south of New Trier, MN. 

Spring Load Restrictions ended on May 2, 2011 for the metro area, Please call the Permit Office at: 952-891-7115 for any oversize vehicle permit questions.

Credit Card Refund Policy
All requests for refunds must be made in writing and include the following information: requestor’s name, company name (if applicable), complete mailing address, daytime phone number, refund amount requested and the reason for the refund.
