Get, modify or renew a license
To get a license application for a new solid waste facility, call the Environmental Management Department at 952-891-7557. To renew or modify an existing license, the facility owner or operator must
submit an application with supporting documentation, such as proof of insurance and financial assurance, to the Environmental Management Department. Annual license fees apply.
- Licenses are approved by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners.
- An application review fee is required and will depend on the type and size of the facility.
- Licenses will not be granted by the County Board unless approved by the city or township where the facility will be located.
