Tours of The Recycling Zone are open to Dakota County residents and groups (girls and boy scouts, churches, etc.) for free. Learn about proper management of household chemicals, recyclables and problem materials such as computers and other home electronics. The tour looks at what happens at The Recycling Zone and the importance of pollution prevention.
Schedule a Tour
Tours must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance. Tours can be scheduled up to 4 months in advance.
8 and older
Groups smaller than five will be asked to schedule their tour with larger groups already booked.
One adult group leader is required to accompany the tour group at all times. For groups with children, multiple leaders are encouraged.
Tours generally last one hour and are available Mondays, Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. and Fridays from 6-7 p.m. Tours outside of these times may be available. Contact Jenny Kedward at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952-891-7043.

Dressing for the tour
The tour is primarily conducted indoors, but weather appropriate attire is encouraged. Open-toed shoes, high heels or sandals are not allowed.
Group leaders will be required to sign a waiver form prior to the tour.
