Septic System Construction or Replacement
Each city and township in Dakota County, is responsible for their own complete administration, permitting, inspecting, and enforcement of their septic ordinance and program.
The Dakota County Shoreland Zoning and Floodplain Management Ordinance requires permits for any construction, including septic systems, on land near public waters of the state and the landward extent of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) designated floodplain.
