Snow Dumping Policy
Dumping snow on roadways is hazardous to snowplow operators because the compacted snow pile may cause the operator to temporarily lose control of the vehicle.

It is unlawful to dump snow from your private driveway onto the road, according to Minnesota Statute Chapter 160.2715, Subdivision (a) (1). Under civil law, any person dumping snow on the road is liable for any accident that is caused by it.
