Glass
 Some types of glass are recyclable while others are not.

Recycle  Glass food and beverage bottles and jars are recyclable. Place in with curbside recycling or bring to The Recycling Zone.

The following items are not recyclable. Place them in the garbage.

  • Drinking glasses, mugs, dishes, cookware, pottery and vases
  • Window and mirror glass
  • Containers that held hazardous products, such as nail polish and hobby paints
Did you know? Recycling one glass jar saves enough electricity to light a conventional 60-watt bulb for four hours or an 11-watt compact fluorescent bulb for 20 hours.
