Average bridge rating
The County currently has 83 bridges under its jurisdiction. Sufficiency ratings are determined from bridge inspection results and are intended to indicate a measure of the ability of a bridge to remain in service. The ratings are from 0 to 100 and are based on the structural adequacy, safety, serviceability and essentiality for public use.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation rates Dakota County roads every two years on a scale from 0 (poor) to 100 (excellent) based on the types of pavement distresses and the rideability of the surface.
