What is it?
The Dakota County Collaborative is an integrated Children's Mental Health and Family Services collaborative. Partners include parents, community agencies, schools, and County staff.
The purpose of the Dakota County Collaborative is to establish an integrated system of services for children. The partnership was formed more than ten years ago to enhance the stability and health of children and families.
In 2007-2008, the Dakota County Collaborative will allocate more than $1 million in federal funding to support early intervention and prevention services for children and families in Dakota County. Funds are for programs that prevent family crisis; give more access to existing services; overcome difficulties in the current system; and promote parent leadership and involvement.
