Held on Mondays from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Jan. 30 to April 16 at Chancellor Manor Apartments, 14250 Irving Avenue South, Burnsville.

Available for those earning less than $49,000 per year. Events take place at Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley on Saturdays, Feb. 4 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 16 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. More resources for tax help can be found on the

CLUES Offers free tax preparation for qualified individuals starting in February until mid-April. Programs include Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m. at Aging Well Services, 882 Robert Street in West St. Paul, and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 401 Concord Street, St. Paul. Free tax preparation at 12 sites around the Twin Cities. Accountability Minnesota is dedicated to providing free, high quality tax preparation and related financial services to individuals and families of limited means. For more information, go to

National Financial Capability Challenge
For high school students, the challenge will run from March 12 to April 13. The challenge, which is conducted by the Department of the Treasury in partnership with the Department of Education, offers high school students all over the country the opportunity to test their financial smarts. Last spring, over 84,000 high school students from more than 1,600 schools participated.
Financial Literacy for College Success
Minnesota Council on Economic Education (MCEE) is developing Financial Literacy for College Success and wants to recruit secondary teachers (grades 7–12) who are interested in participating in a pilot program, which has the objective of helping to prepare low-income, underrepresented youth for higher education. Learning the Language of Money
Workshops will be held every Wednesday at
CLUES, 797 East 7th Street, Saint Paul from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The drop-in workshops will cover setting financial goals, budgeting, understanding credit, banking, understanding taxes, benefits and insurance, and buying a car. For more information, call 651-379-4200.
Investing in Farm Families
An eight-lesson, online class that helps farm families plan for a financially stable future that meets long-term needs. Participants can work at their own pace. More information can be found on the
extension website. The class is made available by the FINRA Foundation and the USDA Cooperative Extension System.
