How Do I get help paying for Child Care?
Effective May 1, 2010, there is a waiting list for BSF child care assistance.Call our general number at 651-554-5611 to request a form to be added to our waiting list, or send us an email at
eeachildcare@co.dakota.mn.us. There may be a waiting list to get help unless you are currently on Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) or you are getting Child Care in another county. You will:
- Check to see if your gross income in below 47% of the state median index.
- Need to fill out a questionnaire if there is a waiting list, or
- Fill out an application if there is funding, and
- Come to a meeting with a Child Care program worker to approve aid.
- Learn how much the county will pay toward child care and how much you will pay.
