Minnesota Statute
273.1235 provides for the owners of a property that has been accidentally or unintentionally damaged to apply for a reduction in the amount of property taxes payable for the year in which the damage occurred. This credit is for disasters such as fire, wind, possibly mold, water damage, etc.
