You can get property information 24 hours a day if:
You know your property identification number
You have a fax machine with no phone line use conflict when fax request is sent, and until received.
The process is simple:
Call the TAX FAX number, 651-438-8366. An automated program will prompt you to enter your fax number and property ID number. The cover letter will tell you how many pages of information you will receive. The information will arrive within a short time (about five minutes is average). The system will attempt to send the fax multiple times. If your phone line is in use, the fax will fail. For help with TAX FAX, contact us at taxfax@co.dakota.mn.us.
Information includes:
- Name and address of owner
- Three years of property value
- Legal description
- Taxes
- Special assessment details
- Sales information
- Property type and lot size
- School district and city
- GIS map if available and requested
