Canines And People Ensuring Running Space This group of volunteers works with County staff to plan and provide service projects at Dakota Woods Dog Park.
Location: Dakota Woods Dog Park, Empire
Number of Volunteers Needed: Open
Summary: To be a part of a network of individuals committed to the ongoing
improvement and success of the Dakota Woods Dog Park through volunteering with
service projects.
Responsibilities:
- Volunteer at service projects offered at Dakota Woods (i.e. trash pick up, spreading woodchips)
- Foster and maintain good public relations as a volunteer of the Dakota County Parks Department, including being a good role model for appropriate Dog Park behavior.
- Fill out appropriate documents at service projects (i.e. sign-in sheet, waivers)
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely use hand tools and lift at least 25 pounds
- Friendly, good-spirited dog owner with a willingness to help people
- Commitment to ensuring an enjoyable dog park for all
- Minimum age 12 years; supervision required for volunteers under age 18
Supervision and Training: No training or experience required. All service projects are
organized and supervised by at least one CAPERS Coordinating Team Member
Commitment: No minimum requirement for hours or number of service projects
Outcomes and Goals: Be a part of a fun and energetic group to help ensure an enjoyable experience for visitors at Dakota Woods Dog Park.
