Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Justin Thadeus Amick, age 39 of West St. Paul, has been charged* with one count each of Attempted Murder in the First Degree (Intent to Kill a Peace Officer), Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree and Ineligible Person in Possession of a Firearm (all felonies) in connection with allegations of shooting at two police officers in Inver Grove Heights on March 18, 2012.
