Plea Entered In Apple Valley Murder Case
Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Abdirahman Abdiwahab Abdikarim, age 19 of Apple Valley, pled guilty this afternoon to Murder in the Second Degree (while committing a felony) in connection with the death of a man found in his cab on August 1, 2009. The victim was 41-year-old Michael Allan Palm II, a former Apple Valley resident. As part of the plea agreement, charges against Abdikarim of Murder in the First Degree (while committing aggravated robbery) and Murder in the Second Degree (with intent to kill) were dismissed.  For more information, see the attached news release.
