Dakota County Launches Prescription Medication Collection Program
Dakota County Sheriff Dave Bellows, County Attorney James Backstrom, and our law enforcement partners are working with the Dakota County Board of Commissioners and City Councils to make it easier to properly dispose of unwanted, unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications.  In an effort to help prevent crime, drug abuse or accidental poisoning, Dakota County will have three permanent collection sites available on December 15th:

Burnsville Police Department
100 Civic Center Parkway
952-895-4600

Hastings Sheriff's Office
1580 Highway 55
651-438-4710

West St. Paul Police Department
1616 Humboldt Avenue
651-552-4200

For complete details about how to drop off your medicines and to find out what types of medicines are acceptable, see the attached news release.
