Eagan Man Sentenced for Taking Lewd Photos of Children
[November 19, 2010]  Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Jason David Kohlwey, age 31 of Eagan, was sentenced today to four days in jail, 30 days of electronic home monitoring and placed on probation for up to eight years for two counts of Invasion of Privacy involving minors (both felonies) in connection with the taking of pictures of juvenile and adult females in bathrooms. Some of these photographs were taken in a school where Kohlwey worked as a custodian at the time (he is no longer working in this capacity). Kohlwey previously plead guilty to these two counts on August 23, 2010. In addition to the above sentencing terms, Kohlwey is also required to register as a predatory offender, have no unsupervised contact with females without prior authorization, and complete sex offender treatment, among other conditions.
