Former Dakota County Employee Sentenced to Felony Theft
| [August 9, 2011] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Aleathea McWilliams, age 52 of Minneapolis, was sentenced today by Judge Michael Sovis to 30 days in jail, 40 hours of community work service and 10 years of probation. McWilliams was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $24,878.38 in connection with funds and bus passes stolen from Dakota County while she was employed as a case aid in Dakota County Social Services. McWilliams pled guilty to one count of Theft (a felony) on June 6, 2011. |
