Lakeville Woman Charged in Theft from School's Parent Teacher Organization
[June 1, 2010]  Dakota County Attorney James C. Backstrom announced that Lisa Bostic Miller, age 45 of Lakeville, has been charged* with two counts of felony theft and two counts of misdemeanor theft. The charges allege Theft by Fraud and Theft by Swindle. The money involved was from the PTO organization of Oak Hills Elementary School in Lakeville. Miller served as treasurer of this organization from May 2007 through May 2009. Miller, who has a degree in accounting and an MBA, worked for over twenty years in the banking industry before losing her job in October of 2008, shortly before the alleged thefts began to occur.
