Mexican Citizens Charged with Possession and Attempt to Sell Large Quantities of Marijuana
| [July 1, 2011] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced today that Geraldo Sanchez Ramos, age 34, and Yesenia Ponce-Carbajal, age 26, have been charged* with Controlled Substance Crime in the Second Degree in connection with possession with intent to sell large quantities of marijuana. Both Ramos and Ponce-Carbajal were living in Apple Valley, but are Mexican citizens. Agents of the Dakota County Drug Task Force apprehended both individuals on June 30, 2011 in Apple Valley. Found in their car and residence were 77 pounds of marijuana with a street value of approximately $77,000. |
