Burnsville Man Pleads Guilty to Second Degree Murder
| [September 7, 2011] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Robert Michael Thomas, age 47 of Burnsville, has pled guilty today to one count of Manslaughter in the Second Degree in connection with the shooting death of James Edward Koenig, age 38 of Burnsville on January 23, 2011 in Thomas’ Burnsville home. Thomas was indicted February 25, 2011 by a Dakota County Grand Jury of one count each of Murder in the Second Degree (While Committing a Felony), Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Intentional Discharge of a Firearm and Endangering Another and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm in a Municipality (all felonies). |
