Jail Staffing
Staffing for the jail consists of 75 people (on average), ranging from the Commander to the office support personnel.
Specialty programs, food services, and Public Health Nursing are supplemented with contract and volunteer staff.
A training committee meets on a regular basis to set up a training plan for all new employees. Each deputy is mandated to complete 120 hours of initial training and 16 hours of annual training. After the initial training new deputies are assigned to 160 hours of Field Training with Field Training Officers, for a total of 320 hours of training.
