  •  What if my child has to miss an appointment with Community Corrections?

Contact your child's probation officer as soon as possible.

  • My child has been assigned to the Work Crew.  Where will he or she be working?

The work crews perform tasks at several non-profit organizations that support and enrich the community, and that provide a positive experience for the youth while developing their work skills.  For additional information, contact the probation officer or one of our offices.

  • How do I get in touch with my child if he/she is in New Chance?

Call the  Juvenile Services Center at 651-438-8399, and ask to be connected to staff at New Chance.

  • Does my child have to attend New chance when community schools are not in session?

Yes.  New Chance is a court ordered program that operates year-round.  There is no program on county designated holidays, but there is a shorted program day during school breaks.  New Chance staff provides transportation during this time.  In weather emergencies, the program will not operate if the Hastings schools are closed.
